Journal

A perfume house takes shape in the present. Here, we share the materials we discover, the accords we return to, and the trials that change on skin.

There are happy intuitions, hesitations, conversations with Grasse, and certainties that do not survive the night. Every detour sharpens the way we smell.

This Journal traces the journey: vanilla as a starting point, but also air, earth, flowers, resins, Paris, and the places that set us in motion.

  • The Essence of Oxymore

Where opposites meet and ideas take shape.

Oxymore, conceived in Paris, born in Grasse.

Oxymore was born from a desire to explore perfumery differently.

Fewer rules, more freedom and openness. Supposed olfactory opposites that meet, create tension, intertwine, and embrace.

Before the perfume, there is a story. And we have chosen to share it with you.

Welcome to the world of Oxymore.

  • The World of Oxymore

After months of ideas, research, and creation, Oxymore finally takes its first visible form: our website.

It is not yet a perfume. But perhaps you can already imagine, almost smell, the materials being explored, the accords being tested, the samples arriving… even the scent of paper as a pencil moves across the page, following the flow of ideas and inspiration.

A space to share our world, our inspirations, and the behind-the-scenes of a journey that is only just beginning.

A space for curiosity, creation, and freedom, where ideas take shape through discovery.

  • The Air Series

A search for air, space and purity.

What does it mean for a perfume to breathe? Across four episodes, a journey through sensations, references and raw materials – exploring one of the central ideas behind Oxymore: creating space within scent.

Episode 1 : Air begins with a search for space, lightness, and purity. This opening episode explores the desire to capture something intangible, and the impressions that inspire a new olfactory direction.
Episode 2 : What makes a fragrance feel open and weightless? This episode explores the materials behind that sensation, and how certain notes can suggest transparency, movement, and a breath of fresh air.
Episode 3 : Rain on stone, the air just after a storm. Through ozone and petrichor, this episode explores the scents of changing weather and the challenge of translating these fleeting impressions into perfume.
Episode 4 : An unlikely connection to L’Heure Bleue offers another way of thinking about air. This last episode reflects on how memories and olfactory references can guide a fragrance still slowly taking shape.

    The first samples have arrived.

Some sweet, some surprising, some a little harder to define; exactly how we like it.

Now it’s time to smell, explore, experiment, and see where these first discoveries take Oxymore.
